Pin High GPS is a golf GPS app for iPhone and Apple Watch made by an independent developer. The short version: the app does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Scores, shots, club distances, statistics, your handicap estimate, saved courses and settings are stored only on your iPhone and, if you use it, your Apple Watch (sent between them directly by Apple's WatchConnectivity). We have no server that receives them and we cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes this data.
With your permission the app uses your location to measure distances on the course, to record where your shots start and finish, and to find golf courses near you. During a round it keeps measuring while the screen is off and stops when you finish the round. Your location is never sent to us and is never stored anywhere except your own devices.
To answer a question in real time, the app sends a coordinate (not your name or any identifier) to these services. None of them receives anything that identifies you, and we do not receive what they log:
The app also downloads its Plays Like settings file from our static site (pinhigh-gps-config.pages.dev). That request contains no location or personal data.
Because the app collects no personal data, it collects none from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
